Unioncamere - the Italian Union of Chambers of Commerce, Industry, Handicraft and Agriculture - is the public body that unites and represents institutionally the Italian chamber system (composed by Local and Regional Chambers, Detached offices, arbitration Chambers, special agencies, chambers abroad etc.) 

Founded in 1901, it develops and manages services and activities of interest of Chambers of Commerce and economic categories, coordinating the initiatives of the system through directives and guidelines to organizations belonging to it.
For the exercise of the functions and tasks entrusted by law to the Chambers of Commerce, Unioncamere stipulates with the Government and national or local authorities, agreements, memorandum of understanding and conventions and promotes and supports the connection of the Chamber system with business organizations , consumers and workers.

At the European level ensures the representation of Italian Chambers of Commerce in Eurochambres, the association that brings together the European Chambers of Commerce.
